Open Ways is published on the quarters and cross-quarters by The Nine Houses of Gaia, Inc., a non-profit organization. Please address all correspondence to:

Payment

Payment is expected at the time of placing an ad. If you prefer to be billed, invoices not paid within 30 days are subject to an interest penalty.

Art and Copy Guidelines

Open Ways is printed on recycled newsprint using soy-based inks. All printing is blank ink only, using an 85-line screen for halftones. Color materials may not reproduce well.

All artwork and large type are digitally scanned at 600dpi and then placed into the desktop publishing program for layout. Smaller type (14pt and less) is re-set using the closest available font. Please send in the best and largest copy of artwork possible; a small logo on a textured, colored business card will not reproduce as well as a 3 or 4 inch version of the same artwork on smooth white paper. Include an SASE if you want your artwork or ad copy returned. Artwork and copy may be emailed, sent on diskette, or sent as paper.

The editorial staff and The Nine Houses of Gaia, Inc., reserve the right to accept or refuse any advertising submitted for publication. It is extremely rare that we do this, and only because the material is not appropriate for the focus of Open Ways.

Focus

Open Ways serves as an introduction to and an anchor for Pagan/Wiccan communities in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest; a forum for the exchange of scholarly, practical, or experiential information, knowledge, and wisdom; a tool for instruction and communication; and, a journal of events, announcements, ideas, poetry, prose, illustration - anything of benefit or interest to pagans.

Circulation

Open Ways has a circulation of 1,700 copies, with over 200 direct mail subscriptions throughout the United States, Canada, and England. It is available for free at Edge of the Circle Books (Seattle), The Goddess Gallery (Portland), Panurge Emporium (Portland), and Powell's Books(Portland), and several other locations in Portland and the Pacific Northwest.

Statement of Confidentiality

We honor the right to privacy. Information regarding our contributors and subscribers is not available under any circumstance. Our mailing list is not for sale or trade.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are $8 for one year or $16 for two years; please make checks or money orders payable to Open Ways. Back issues are available for $1.
